Furniture Catalogue: E-Commerce Photography

Photographing a Homeware Brand's Furniture Catalogue for E-Commerce

I recently undertook an exciting project to photograph the entire furniture catalogue for a local homeware brand, in preparation for the launch of their e-commerce site. The project was a comprehensive undertaking that involved close collaboration with the brand's marketing and e-commerce managers. Together, we developed a detailed brief, outlining the display options for each item to ensure a cohesive and consistent presentation throughout the catalogue.

Over an intensive three-day photoshoot, I captured over 100 furniture items. The process included photographing each piece from various angles and positions, with a particular focus on detail shots. These close-ups were crucial to highlight the exquisite craftsmanship of each item, a key selling point for the brand's high-end furniture collection.

My team played an instrumental role in the success of this project. I had the support of two assistants and skilled carpenters who efficiently assembled and positioned each piece of furniture for the photoshoot. Their expertise enabled us to capture the best possible images of each item, showcasing the furniture in the most attractive and detailed manner.

The outcome of this project was a meticulously crafted and consistent catalogue, featuring a wide range of large, high-end furniture items. This catalogue is not just a collection of product images; it's a testament to the brand's quality and aesthetic, designed to enhance the online shopping experience for their customers. The photographs serve as a vital tool in the brand's e-commerce strategy, providing customers with a clear and detailed view of the products, thereby facilitating informed purchase decisions.
